Builtfor continuity
For more than 120 years, we’ve focused on one thing: making anti-infective medicines the world depends on — reliably, consistently, and at scale. We build partnerships and relationships that matter.
The truth is, in this category, supply is not just operational. It’s critical.
Fermentation-based manufacturing is complex. It requires deep expertise, long-term investment, and the ability to manage uncertainty over time. The molecules cannot be rushed — and neither can the decisions behind them.
That’s why our role goes beyond production. We work with you to ensure continuity — anticipating challenges, adapting as requirements evolve, and staying aligned as the landscape shifts.
After all, we're your people.
We are your focused partner inanti-infectives
What matters is not just what we make — it’s how we support you.
Xellia is a global leader in fermentation-based non-beta-lactam anti-infectives, supplying APIs and finished dosage forms to more than 500 pharmaceutical companies across 80 countries.
This is reflected in how we work with you:
Continuity you can rely on. As one of the last Western manufacturers of several essential anti-infective APIs, we provide structurally resilient supply — with EU-based production and a long-standing track record of uninterrupted delivery.
Science that keeps you ahead
We contribute to pharmacopoeia standards, invest in R&D, and stay ahead of regulatory change — so you don’t have to catch up later.
A partnership that works in real time
We stay close to your business — anticipating needs, responding quickly, and solving issues before they escalate.

Antiobiotic Supply Chain Resilience

Behind every vial, every batch, every shipment that reaches a patient on time, there are people. 👥 That's not a line we use for CPHI, it's how we've built this company for over a century. And this year in Milan, we want you to feel that the moment you walk up to Booth 18A31. Not a wall of jargon. Not another glossy claim. Just the people who actually do the work, ready to talk. The scientists who live in the detail. The site teams who've kept production running through things most companies would use as an excuse. The colleagues who measure their own worth by how fast they show up when something goes wrong. We're showing up differently this year because that's who we actually are. A human company first. Come meet us, or get in touch now and we'll have time set aside for you: https://lnkd.in/esJHAYFJ October 6 to 8, Booth 18A31. We're Xellia, and we're your people. 📍 Booth 18A31 🗓️ Milan, October 6 to 8, 2026 #CPHI2026 #Pharma #QualityCulture #AMR

🎯 In our industry, getting it right isn't optional. It's the foundation of everything we do for patients. This week, our Chief Operations Officer Alexander Sproedt, Chief Commercial Officer Gael Bernard, Chief Financial Officer Vicente Oller, and Chief Quality Officer Art Fiocco had the chance to visit our Taizhou site in person to recognize a genuinely strong outcome: a very successful regulatory inspection. A result like this doesn't happen by chance. It reflects that Taizhou's quality systems, manufacturing controls, documentation, and compliance practices were found to be effective. It's the result of meticulous preparation, paired with a quality culture and operational discipline the site has built over more than a decade. We're proud of this, and we're also mindful. A strong outcome is a meaningful milestone, not a finish line. Regulatory expectations don't stand still, and neither do we. Continuous improvement and unwavering diligence remain the standard at Taizhou, every single day. To the entire Taizhou leadership team: thank you for the consistency and care you bring to this work. Behind every inspection, every audit, every certification, there are people who care deeply about getting it right. That's who we are. We're Xellia, and we're your people. 💙 #CriticalMedicines #APISupply #APIQuality

We're delighted to welcome @Linda Haugaard-Kedström as Xellia's new Chief Scientific Officer. 🎉 Science found Linda early. A chemistry teacher, a rocket experiment, and a spark that never went out. From there, a PhD in peptides and years of drug discovery followed naturally. What brought her to Xellia? Purpose. The fight against antimicrobial resistance is exactly the kind of challenge that calls to someone who believes science should connect back to patients and to daily life. "There's a red thread running through my whole life: curiosity." New places, new cultures, new science. Linda rarely goes to the same place twice, and that restlessness has shaped a career that spans peptide research, tech transfer, manufacturing, quality control and program management, and global teams across four continents. We can't wait to see where she takes us next. 🌱 Welcome, Linda. We’re Xellia. We're your people. https://www.xellia.com/ #Curiosity #PharmaRandD #AnitInfectives

Every visit to our R&D organisation in Oslo brings something new. 🔬 A fresh discovery. A promising data point. A conversation that opens up new possibilities. The energy is special. Not every idea becomes a breakthrough. That's not how science works. But the innovation, scientific curiosity, and depth of thinking we see in our R&D team is genuinely exciting. And every now and then, one of those ideas has the potential to become something truly significant. 🚀 What makes it possible? People. The resilience and passion of the team is something you feel the moment you walk in. These are scientists who care deeply about what they do, and it shows in every discussion, every experiment, every result. The team continues to push boundaries and raise the bar for what's possible in anti-infective science. At Xellia, we believe innovation is most powerful when it solves meaningful challenges. That's why bringing our R&D capabilities and commercial thinking closer together matters so much. Our Chief Commercial Officer, @Gael BERNARD, joined the team for R&D Days, a reflection of just how central science is to our growth strategy and our ambition to make a greater impact for the patients who depend on our medicines. 💊 When scientific innovation and customer insight work in the same direction, the result is more than a product. It's a differentiated solution. A stronger partnership. A greater chance that the right medicine reaches the right patient, every single time. A huge thank you to everyone who made Xellia R&D Days such a success, our board member Julie McHugh, and of course to our CEO, @Michael Kocher, for joining us. The best is yet to come. ✨ #WeAreYourPeople #R&D #ScienceInnovation

What does play to win look like? 🏆 It looks like a cross-functional team from commercial finance, pricing, business monitoring, and global supply chain walking away as champions of the “Light x Lovable x Implement, Global Finance Hackathon” in Copenhagen this week. Our team, @Juan Martín Ciganda, @Krzysztof Duda Kristensen, @Sven Oliver Lexen, @Rune Thomas Staun Pallesen, @David Fraga Rivera, @Kasper Rosenvinge, and @Mathias Sturm developed the Downstream Sales Optimizer — an AI-powered decision model that turns unused production capacity into qualified revenue opportunities by connecting production capabilities, market demand, and customer priorities. 🎯 Yes, there were technical hurdles along the way (software access and setup, we've all been there 😅). But the team had an edge: a real problem they genuinely wanted to solve. That clarity carried them through. As Rune Pallesen put it: “AI offers a huge opportunity space when it comes to solving a problem. While we had a clear vision, we also had to resist the temptation to include everything. Towards the end, we killed a lot of ‘darlings’ to ensure the solution was user-friendly and easy to understand. We’d rather have a simple solution that resonates than a complex one that only we understand.” That insight applies far beyond hackathons. The best AI solutions aren’t the most sophisticated — they’re the ones people actually use. Congratulations to the entire team. A great example of what innovation looks like at Xellia: curious people, real business challenges, and the determination to solve them together. 🙌 Find out more about Xellia: https://www.xellia.com/ #PlayToWin #AI #Innovation #DigitalTransformation #Pharma

123 years is a long time to do anything. But longevity isn't the story. Consistency is. So here's what 123 years actually looks like for us at Xellia. 1 thing that has never changed. A patient somewhere needs medicine that is complex to make, that few can make, and it has to get there. That truth was true in 1903. It's true today. Everything we do starts and ends there. 2 things we do every single time. We listen before we act. And we deliver without exception. Not because it's written somewhere. Because 123 years of getting it right when it matters most has made it who we are. 3 things that make us us. Our science, deep and hard-won over more than a century. Our partnerships, built shoulder to shoulder, not at arm's length. Our people, the ones behind every batch, every molecule, every vial. 123 years. Not a milestone. A way of being. We're Xellia. And we're your people. Find out more: www.xellia.com #WeAreYourPeople #AntiInfectives #APISupply

What if AI doesn't replace the human moments at work, but actually gives us more of them? 🤔 It's the question our colleague Mathias Sturm kept circling at OpenAI Frontiers in London. There were brilliant solutions on display from every corner of industry. One of the most striking tackled something every one of us has felt: how note-taking quietly steals our presence in meetings. You know the feeling. One ear on the conversation. One eye on the notes. By the end of every call, pages of bullet points and almost no memory of what your colleagues actually said. The solution was beautifully simple. A few small AI helpers running quietly in the background of every call. One captures the notes. One drafts the follow-ups. One nudges the team on how to run better conversations next time. The result wasn't more output. It was more presence. ✨ Eye contact in meetings. Better questions. Noticing when someone goes quiet. Remembering what was said, because people were finally listening when it was said. That's the kind of innovation that intrigues us. Not the loudest demo. Not the newest model. The quiet shifts that change how people actually work together. At Xellia, we're built on authentic relationships. With our partners, our patients, and each other. So the innovation we're chasing isn't the kind that automates people away. It's the kind that gives people more room to be people. 💛 Thinking about the same things? We'd love to compare notes. 👋 #Xellia #AI #Innovation #Pharma Find out more about Xellia at www.Xellia.com
