Press Release: Xellia and Hisun sign strategic global multiple-API partnership. Xellia Pharmaceuticals and @Zhejiang Hisun Pharmaceutical have signed a strategic Framework Agreement, expanding their long-standing Joint Venture partnership into a broader, multi-product collaboration across Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). The agreement extends the partnership beyond anti-infective APIs into new therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular and oncology. Hisun will contribute development, technology, and manufacturing capabilities. Xellia will contribute its international commercial, regulatory, and quality platform. The two companies are committing to end-to-end organic collaboration from development to global commercialization, based on over 20 years of trust, friendship and mutual commitment to patients. "By combining our complementary strengths, we can accelerate our global growth and bring a broader and stronger API offering to customers around the world," says Michael Kocher, CEO of Xellia Pharmaceuticals. "This expanded strategic partnership marks an important milestone in Hisun's Globalization 2.0 strategy, built on a shared commitment to quality and supply reliability for patients worldwide," says Kevin Xiao, Chairman & CEO of Hisun Pharmaceutical. Sterile or non-sterile. Micronized or not.   Outside API manufacturing, that sounds like a footnote. Inside it, it shapes how a process runs for as long as the product exists.   Because the better the API fits the process, the less the process has to bend. Fewer additional steps. A shorter path through validation. A simpler story to tell in the dossier. Last week our Global Production, Supply & Quality team came together in Copenhagen to build on the incredible work of the last 8 months. We have seen our supply delivering on time, our production optimised, quality at consistently high levels, all while navigating the challenges of global geopolitics. Now, the team are ensuring that Xellia is driving ahead into 2030 and beyond. Of course, this doesn’t happen by accident. You need to have the clarity, conviction and connections across the functional areas to deliver a strategy that has ambition and is the living breathing embodiment of Xellia’s values. And the outcome? Ownership! Ensuring that every single priority has a name attached to it, along with a timeline means that the roadmap to continued success is visible to everyone.
